OUR MISSION
BABIE is a nonprofit organization committed to restoring enrichment opportunities in under-resourced public schools. Our mission is in our name and is literally what we stand for:
Bringing Activities Back in Education.
We aim to create joyful and meaningful learning environments by supporting incentive-based experiences, educational outings, and hands-on activities that encourage student participation, motivation, and engagement. BABIE focuses on serving impoverished and underserved communities by specifically targeting ZIP codes with the highest crime rates in all five boroughs, helping children rediscover their love for school and thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. By operating remotely, we reduce overhead and maximize the impact of every donated dollar directly into programs and services for students.
OUR VISION
At BABIE, we are dedicated to providing incentive-based educational enrichment programs to public school students in NYC's underserved neighborhoods. Our goal is to increase student engagement, improve attendance, and reignite a passion for learning through exciting outings and activities. By offering a wide range of experiences, we aim to create a positive impact on students' educational journeys.
Education is not only about the knowledge gained in books but the experiences shared that shape a student's future. At BABIE, we believe in creating memories that inspire a lifelong love for learning.
BABIE Inc. is a New York State-registered nonprofit organization recognized by the New York State Attorney General's Charities Bureau and authorized to solicit charitable contributions under an approved CHAR410 registration.
BABIE Inc. is also recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity. ​
As a registered public charity, BABIE Inc. is eligible to receive grants from Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs). Donors who wish to support public school enrichment and student engagement in New York City may recommend a DAF grant to BABIE Inc. through their sponsoring organization, helping bring meaningful activities,
resources, and opportunities back into NYC classrooms.​​​​
